If this was the prop that was on the wall at the Hamilton RNZAF Association club rooms and subsequently went into the care of the Hamilton Combined Servicemen's Club (RSA) after the RNZAFA was disestablished, I would have some concern. It should never have ended up in private hands. I hope it is not this one.
How does one check the provenance with the seller? I have no experience with Trade Me.

Just a heads up for anyone turning up late to this, I have been contacted by a WONZ Forum member who informs me that they have purchased this propeller from the seller. It is now destined for eventual display in an upcoming museum exhibit where the public will be able to see it, eventually down the track. I know this person and I can vouch that it has gone to a very good home.

That is a good result Dave but doesn't answer the question as to how the seller came into possession of it. My concern only applies if it is the one from the Hamilton RNZAFA, in which case it might have been misappropriated. Perhaps our WONZ Member purchaser can enlighten us as to provenance?

Perhaps you should visit the RSA tomorrow and see if their one is still there? if it is not, ask them.
There are a few of them around. They are rare but not unique.
