I noticed this paragraph in an obit in the Northern Advocate of 7 Mar 28 about the above man:
Sergeant-Major Bethell obtained his discharge [from the NZEF on 5 Jul 20] in England, as he had secured a position as secretary at a large aeroplane factory, and subsquently he held good secretarial posts.
J. G. Bethell was the son of Mr and Mrs S. J. Bethell of Whangarei.
A search of New Zealand and British papers online reveals nothing further that would identify the 'factory' or for how long Bethell was its secretary.
Anyone here know anything about his aviation contribution?

I wonder if he was from the same family as Graham Bethell.
