I'm building another Heller DC-6 as a short fuselage DC-6 NZ3632 (ex TEAL ZK-BGB 'Arawhata') for one of the forum members here This one came with resin replacement engines & exhuasts care of it's owner I've just got the model to the stage of decalling. It looks good with her sister ship ('BGC) for now Untitled by Harry Follas, on Flickr Untitled by Harry Follas, on Flickr Untitled by Harry Follas, on Flickr

Lovely, looks great. How much of the fuselage did you shorten and was it in the front fuselage section?

It’s a scale 5ft (about2.2 cm) that needs removing from front section, I removed it from ahead of the panel line just ahead of the main cabin windows. In theory the early 6’s had a crew door on the starboard side aft of cockpit that was the same as the DC-4. I wasn’t able to replicate that.

Hear hear! I don't know how you manage to turn out such top-notch builds in such little time!

Lol…I have a wee production line going, usually 3-4 at same time…I’m trying to kill off the line for a bit in a while so that I can have a break from ‘sniffing solvents’
