My dad John Packer was on Green 1944. I have a collection of his art and articles that I have discovered since my mum died. It’s a depiction of daily life on Green and Guadal canal. The collection is being taken into RNZAF collection this year. It’s very unique and there are not seen before photos of men and planes. I hope to have his extraordinary talent and recall preserved . They’ve been in a cupboard for 77 years.
