Before returning home I managed a quick visit to the RAAF Williamtown museum, Fighter World near Newcastle. Didn't get any aerial action sadly, they are working on the runway as Newcastle Airport, which both the military and civil operators use, is being ungraded to an international airport. [ This Hornet painted as a tribute machine to the local aboriginal Worimi people. A couple of prop jobs, these two Spitfires are replicas. [ Winjeels were used for training also forward air control. A few outside. PC9s also served in a training and forward air control role. On the way out heard some banging and cracking, went for a look and found a few fellas working on a Sabre.
