Jet tenders called

WELLINGTON, Mar. 28.
Tenders for the supply of ; two medium-range jet V.I.P. transport aircraft for the Royal New Zealand Air Force have been called for by the Ministry of Defence. Aircraft likely to be considered are the Fokker Friendship F28, the McDonnell-Douglas DC9, the British Aircraft Corporation 1-11, and the advanced version of the Boeing 737-2000 series.

Not sure what the B-52 has to do with things though?

That DC-9 model is really cool. Not sure what the B-52 has to do with things though? It a what if - bung a few seats in the back and it becomes a long range VIP jet transport. Between VIP trips I'm sure the Air Force could find another use for it
