NZ Warbirds are on

A fly past is scheduled for this Sunday 18th September consisting of a number of Ardmore based aircraft including a Kittyhawk, Harvards and Tiger Moths to name a few.

It will pay to get on location earlier than the scheduled time to ensure you don't miss us.
Alternatively you can watch us get ready from NZ Warbirds at Ardmore Airport and see this amazing collection up close and personal. See you out there!

Note: The fly past route we undertake is to work in conjunction with the RSA and Auckland Council to time our flypast over the central Auckland centotaph for 11:00am. The flight path is tightly controlled to adhere to Civil Aviation Regulations as we are unable to fly over built up areas with some of our aircraft without CAA's specific permission.

It was a lovely day for it

Aircraft taking part in todays flypast are 7x T6 Harvards, Spitfire, Kittyhawk, Mustang, Nanchang, DH Chipmunks, Piper Cub, Miles Messenger and Tiger Moths.
The Aircraft will be departing Ardmore via Clevedon and Brookby before traveling along Aucklands eastern beaches to assemble over Rangitoto Island.
The flypast approach will be a straight line from Rangitoto to North Head to the Cenotaph followed by a right hand turn near Pt Chevalier/MOTAT before another right turn over the Harbour Bridge before tracking down the Harbour back to Ardmore.
