Tiniest national identification roundels ever applied to a military aircraft? Just exactly what is the point of all this minification? Ha ha! Yes indeed, try searching for a serial or unit code! The Italians have been doing it for awhile now, after having obvious national markings on their aircraft. F-104S side It's the in thing, now, apparently; this Slovak air Force C-27 just has the national shield outlined on the fin in grey. DSC_0175

It's so they can land in Christchurch, fill the fuel tanks, and tell the tanker driver to send the bill to the USAF.
