Does anyone have photos of the event they're willing to share? A recent eBay purchase of a slide showing an unpainted VNM2 at Hamilton 1993, i believe to be its air show debut? The first time I'd seen a Venom displayed although I had seen some of the reassembly and engine runs at Ardmore. Does anyone have any more photos of VNM2 unpainted? in particular the registration markings on the boom - for a future model build. J-1799 ZK-VNM Hamilton 1993 by Jason Mills, on Flickr I remember it had a noticeable lean to the left. Flat oleo?

Great photo. I was not aware that it did a show in this stripped back state.

Great photo. I was not aware that it did a show in this stripped back state. It was a fairly short display from memory and this video is only of the start and take off.

I'll have to have a look at my slides/photos for that event. I was on security for that show. Just checked the index and there are two photos of the Venom. I need to grab the negative files tomorrow.

Great shots!
Was there a grandstand at that airshow?

I suspect that Bruce was upstairs in the terminal?

Must have been. I think back then it may have had a balcony you could view from unlike now, but I am not really sure.

I remember it had a noticeable lean to the left. Flat oleo? Bruce Cooke mentioned that at that time (the Hamilton show), the right oleo would stick in the extended position.
Thanks for sharing those photos Peter.
