Bit of footage from the 1990's when the Ardmore based Sea Fury crossed the Tasman on a number of occasions, twice for air racing in Tasmania, when she was sold to an Australian owner and from Australia return for Warbirds over Wanaka 2002. Watch out for the go around and when she lands with a lock up and the tail coming up, whoa girl!

Been going through hours of old video tape footage I recently copied to digital, another clip of Sea Fury '14' ZK-SFR in 1995 this one. Bit home movie-ish and an amateur attempt and documentary style with the little section on her history. I was gutted when the Mustang that flew the across Tasman last year didn't come via the island, what made me feel a bit better was the fact that I had seen this awesome beast many years earlier. Bit more on her story in link below. www.warbirdregistry.org/furyregistry/fury-zksfr.html

Definition of Faith: Cross the Tasman Sea 7 times behind a single 1952 Centaurus...
He had to deal with significant X-winds on those two occasions

You'd be putting some tape marks on the temperatures and pressures for sure.

Found some more footage of this old gem, pretty sure this was when Nigel Arnot flew her across the Tasman for the 2002 Warbirds over Wanaka.
