Most readers will know that Auckland International Airport has been closed recently because of the weather and Boeing 777 ZK-OKN damaging runway lights. The news is that it re-opened for international flights this morning. 29 January. Now, wind the clock back 57 years to the date: 29 January 1966 - the official opening day of Auckland International Airport.
