If you've never seen a night glow, they're well worth checking out (not that I'm biased )

I have been to the Balloons Over Waikato one. I'm told this year it will be held at Claudelands Showgrounds and there is now an entrance fee to get in rather than being the free performance it has always been.

Trevor would be highly pi**ed if that is the case. He used to come out there and do the festival. He now runs MAF from Ragley Hall which is a real bummer of a backdrop to a combined balloon festival and airshow....

Some of the recent night glows that the crew at Balloon Aloft have put on have been rather spectacular. All the pilots get iPads and hit PLAY at the same time, then get instructions when to glow (blast valve, whisper valve, "twinkle" etc) with good music, well choreographed and featuring fireworks & lasers. Not sure if they're grabbing ideas from Midlands but certainly top of the pops for Oz
