For those who have read the fantastic article by Brian Lecomber that I published in the latest Sport Flying Magazine about the Rothmans Aerobatic Team Pitts Specials displaying in the Middle East, I just came across this film covering that 1979 tour! Wow, it's awesome!

Sadly the video does not include Kuwait, which the article focused on, or Dubai, which was where the photos with the article were taken, I guess the TV cameras did not follow them there. But amazing to see them flying in Egypt, Greece and over Biggin Hill. Terrific film.

Very good, with a bit of history, poverty and opulence contrasted in.
Shame about being financed by cancer sticks.
