There appear to have been two aviation related Honours awarded.
Companions of the Order (CNZM):
Rodney Keith Bracefield, for services to Search and Rescue and aviation.
Mr Bracefield is ex-RNZAF, and has spent 60+ years involved with Search & Rescue. He was instrumental in establishing the emergency locator beacon infrastructure in NZ.
The New Zealand Distinguished Service Decoration (DSD):
Squadron Leader George Samuel McInnes, for services to the New Zealand Defence Force.
Squadron Leader McInnes was the Captain of an NH90 that was active in the SAR operations arising from the flooding in Canterbury in 2021.

As a young Navigator on 41 Squadron detachment at Korat in the early 1960s Rodney painted the scorpion on the fin of the Freighters of the detachment. The Air Force Museum photo collection has a pic of him doing this

It used to be that there was a seperate list for members of the military and there would be a couple of dozen mentioned from each service

As a young Navigator on 41 Squadron detachment at Korat in the early 1960s Rodney painted the scorpion on the fin of the Freighters of the detachment. The Air Force Museum photo collection has a pic of him doing this "Flying Officer Rodney Bracefield painting a scorpion on the fin of No. 41 Squadron Bristol Freighter NZ5903.
