LUTON LA5 MAJOR.

Please do any forum members know the current owner and location of a British registered Luton Major home build aircraft (G-BCKP). The aircraft was purchased from the UK by Mr Neil White in 2002, but never registered or flown in NZ. The airframe was last located at Matangi Airstrip, stored in a shipping container. Matangi Airstrip has since been sold to new owners, so the airframe has likely moved on to a new storage location. Please do any SAANZ members remember observing this airframe, which was fully airworthy when it left British shores. Photographs of the aircraft can be easily found on an internet search by entering "G-BCKP Luton LA5 Major".

I still have the aircraft, it was actually stored in Kihikihi from being imported until around 2010 when it was moved to Hamilton Airport for several years before being stored in Cambridge. It has not flown in NZ
