That was great what a life! Landing a Harrier on the deck of a freight ship between a wall of containers in the open seas of the Atlantic, you can only imagine. Wonder if they only had one shot, as in if they couldn't land for whatever reason was there an option to go elsewhere?

This is an awesome discovery. I recently asked Ross about a certain aircraft and if it was in his logbook, and yes, he and I just discovered that the Hawker Harrier GR3 at the Ashburton Aviation Museum, XZ129, was the actual Harrier that he flew from St Mawgan in Britain down to Ascension Island!
