Been going through some old video footage, some may recall, I'm thinking mid 1990's two Graunmman Albatross came through New Zealand, ole belonging to the Proctors was done up as a home pretty much. The second one owned by Rich Sudgen stopped in Christchurch and did a 100 hour inspection at Ardmore.
She came through Lord Howe Island and luck me got a flight including touch and goes on the lagoon, still to this day one of the best flights of my life.

That is great footage and some unforgettable memories I'm sure! I was surprised, in the narrative, he didn't mention their appearance at Warbirds Over Wanaka and Queenstown visits. I remember the Mallard using ALL of the runway! And I remember the Mallard climbing out from Queenstown past the Remarkables while I stood on the Crown Range watching it go past below me. Great view!

I'm pretty sure the Albatross in my video did not attend Warbirds over Wanaka, the machine in the video was owned by Rich Sudgen, it was in New Zealand some time after the visit of an Albatross owned by the Proctors that had similar markings that was at Warbirds over Wanaka.
Yes very lucky to go up in her, a high light!
