I see Classic Airframes has announced they will release a 1/48th scale Avro Anson. And better still, it comes with RNZAF decals!
I hope it has a selection of nose arts for the RNZAF ones.

Yep, have one on pre order with Hannant's in the UK, along with the first of CA's 1:48 Canberras which is the export B2 with markings for RAAF and RNZAF!
Apparently the Airfix B1(8 /12)'s are not due out until November/December.
All we need now (other than a good Vildebeest, Sterling and Hampden in 1:48) is for Trumpetor to release their Wellington. CA are of course also doing a Hart/Hind family. Yessssss!
Cheers, Pete M.

I'd just like to add how good it is these days that mainstream model companies are finally producing kits of important British aircraft in 1/48th, instead of yet another version or variant of aircraft like F-15's or Bf109's, FW190's or P51D's. They are all so yawn.
Ansons, Hudsons, Vincents, Hinds, Walrus... real planes!
A nice Ventura in 1/48th would be great too.

Hi Dave. I have two of the Koster 1:48 vacform PV-1's and they are pretty good.
Fonderie Miniatures (FM) also do an injection PV-1 that appears to be based on the Koster kit. There's an 'in-box' review of it by Anthony Galbraith on the Ventura modelling page of my site.
Like most FM kits (I have several, including their 1:48 Halifax) they are a bit rough around the edges, but as the saying goes, they're the only game in town!
Cheers, Pete M.

I did not know about the injection moulded one. I missed that on your excellent site. Thanks. It would be nice if Tamiya did one, or another good quality kit maker. I have seen the Halifax kit made up very nicely on Hyperscale, I guess the kits come out good with lots of work, time and skill.
