Thanks for that. I came across a reference for the Puma engine and I wondered what ours were fitted with.

UK production of the DH-4 amounted to about 1536 aircraft built by 6 companies with Aircraft Manufacturing Co (784) and Westlands (279) being the major ones. UK DH-4s were built with a variety of engines, and examples were also built with a selection of engines for testing / evaluation.
200hp BHP 260hp FIAT A-12 230hp Galloway Adriatic 200hp RAF 3a 200hp RAF 4d 190hp Renault 300hp Renault 250hp Rolls-Royce Eagle I-IV 275hp Rolls-Royce Eagle V-VII 375hp Rolls-Royce Eagle VIII 353hp Rolls-Royce G 230hp Siddeley Puma 260hp Sunbeam Maori 400hp Sunbeam Matabele American production of the DH-4 was confined to three companies. Dayton-Wright built 3100, Fisher Body Corp produced 1600 and Standard Aircraft produced 140. All were equipped with the 400hp Liberty V-12.
Boeing rebuilt many American DH-4s post-war, keeping the Liberty but building steel-tube fuselages. The example on display in Omaka is one of these.
