Nice Bucc Calum! Great job on the weathering as well, I've seen a few Buccaneers in that scheme that have no weathering at all and just look wrong.

Gorgeous model mate!
I don't mind non-Kiwi aircraft on here when they look that good!

Gibby, Was that your Brick on the table at the NSW Scale Expo?
If it was, how'd you go (looks like there was some pretty stiff competition there)?

Yeah it was. Also had my A-7 and Mossie there. Didn't win anything. :-( Still a bit of work to do to get to the standards set there but never mind, had fun anyway. :-) The Harrier next to my Buccaneer won (His site is . Where did you see the pictures of the comp?

I thought I'd throw in my admittedly markedly inferior Buccaneers for comparison. The big one is the Airfix 1:72 I made in 1993 when I was sixteen, the little one is the Tamiya 1:100 I did late last year. The trailing aerials are missing from the fin of the Airfix model as they were stolen off it while it was parked next to another Buccaneer in a shop display case in Wellington.....

Thanks Calum. The photos hide many flaws..... Both kits were straight out of the box. That Tamiya kit is a wee gem if you are looking for a quick fun build. It was first released in the early 70's I think, and has only marginally less detail than its bigger Airfix cousin which is a late 80's mould. In some respects its better.
