A set of photos I've scanned from negatives today taken by my uncle Pat Stokes, dated 15.11.1960 when he was living in Wellington... Pat:1 by John Stokes, on Flickr Pat:1 1 by John Stokes, on Flickr Pat:1 3 by John Stokes, on Flickr Pat:1 2 by John Stokes, on Flickr ... can anyone shed anymore light onto these?? I would imagine, too, that developed properly the prints would be pin-sharp as Pat was an accomplished photographer.

My Memories of Wellington (especially in the early 1960's when these photos were taken) are of a RAF Comet 2C (216 Sqn) AĆ©ronavale Lancasters and C-54 being positioned on the north side of the terminal (near Rescue Fire) and you easily photograph them from the car park.
I waited for the Lancaster to depart - glorious sight and sound but I had to leave before the Comet departed. I was in the Seatoun Tunnel when it finally took-off and the sound echoing was better than waiting the departure. My 2d worth anyway.
