Many WONZ Forum members will have seen photos and videos of the gorgeous de Havilland Tiger Moth ZK-BFS "Queenie", and the stunning Harvard NZ1044 (ZK-OTU). Both these lovely warbirds were restored to flying condition by WONZ members Bevan Dewes and Lucy Newell, and now they have launched Legend Aviation, where you can buy adventure rides in some of their fleet! www.legendaviation.co.nz/Book a flight during the Wings Over Wairarapa weekend, visit the collection at Hood Aerodrome, Masterton, or watch their website for upcoming barnstorming tours.

That is out of date. Mr Mathewson died, and it is now owned by Lucy Newell of Legend Aviation.

Currently, ZK-BFS is, as Dave says, registered to Legend Aviation Ltd of Masterton. The Harvard, ZK-OTU (NZ1044), is registered to Warbird Aero Limited of the same residential Masterton address.

On the way home I realised that I forgot to photograph the scarff ring that was up against the hangar wall.

Absolutely. Plan is to keep that side as is and because the other side is pretty ugly (IIRC it spent quite the time on the ground) that will have a show-room finish.
