Feilding Airfield in WW2

I've been having some discussions about Feilding Airfield.

Now I have a request about us in WW2.



Another snippet. Did you know that FI was used as a Camera Gun Range when under RNZAF control during WW2? Found some very limited material at the RNZAF Museum on this, but no real detail on how it actually operated. Thus far Google search not turned up much...just stuff about fitting gun cameras.

Very interesting. I am guessing it must have been used in part of the training for the Operational Training Units based at Ohakea?
