Some great shots of Heinkel 111 and also Curtiss H75-C1 fighters(according to the blurb captured after the fall of France) as RAF fighters.

That is a seriously well made film, great cinematography. It is really interesting to hear what the He111 sounded like with Jumo engines rather than Merlins. A pity it did not have subtitles, thought the story is fairly self evident.
The Curtiss Hawks look great in that scheme. I am sure I have seen stills of them before taken from this film.
Nice find Baz!

As this says it is the action sequences, I am guessing there is more to the movie. No doubt the usual aviation film love triangle, lol.

Watching them board the He 111, I wonder how often the belly gunner bitched about people not wiping their feet before they got in, and getting mud in his position.

It is also very obvious that the German philosophy of having practically all of the crew of their medium bombers crowded together in the nose, supposedly for purposes of morale as well as not having to rely completely on intercommunications equipment was as true with the He 111 as for other types. Or were some of the scenes shot in larger replicas? Probably not. However I am impresed with the quality of the filming, very impressive.
