The underwing number does not look like an RNZAF serial number, and note there is no underwing roundel. Unlikely RNZAF.

I note this aircraft (which at first glance I assumed was ex RNZAF at Rukuhia, or Asplins) has a "kinked" pitot head, which I am fairly certain was an (RAF?) modification, seen especially on RAF Kittys in the Western Desert. Also has flared ("fishtail") exhausts, which seems to have been introduced with the P-40K, although sometimes P-40Es appear to have been fitted with them (I think the two types were interchangeable).

The aircraft appears (at least to me) to be resting on raised land? The building didn't ring true with me either
And what is that item on the left? A container or a reefer?

To install Fishtail exhausts in place of the early round type you also need to change the exhaust shrouds and the side cowls.
