As I mentioned on an earlier thread Trumpeter has a new kit in 1/32nd scale of the Douglas Dauntless. There's a comprehensive review here which concluded that it's a 'quantum leap' ahead of the Matchbox kit.

This is the SBD-1/2 model, not suitable for making as an RNZAF example, but I have no doubts that they'll release later -3, -4 and -5 models eventually (hopefully).
The SBD-3 and SBD-4 models were used by No's 25 and 26 Squadrons, RNZAF at Seagrove, Auckland, with No. 25 Squadron using the SBD-5 in the Pacific.
