I have some info re the above where my father was a member and trained in Wilson’s Bay Australia before being transferred to N Africa.
Have photos and dates of his training in Aussie .
I am keen to know more about this company .

Special Company appears to be the same as 1st Independent Coy from my father's war service records.
He was posted to Special Company Trenthan 16-11-41 then to Australia Wilsons Bay for training as part of 1st Independent Coy.
I have time line dated photos and his daily diary entries for the whole of his service in the army.
