Looking for clarification here, Can anyone confirm with NS999 was coded EG-D? Des Melbourne (right) and his long-time navigator Jack Grant pose by NS999 ‘EG-C’. This machine took them on CLARION and safely through 16 of their 29 ‘ops’ with 487. This from LINK: www.key.aero/article/royal-new-zealand-air-force-and-mosquitoHowever, photos posted on Facebook by Tina Divers states that NS999 was coded EG-D "Rosieres France February 1945. F/Sgt Bill Belcher on left F/Lt Arnold Divers on right. On back of photos it says 487 Squadron D -EG Aircraft No NS 999 the oldest and longest serving Mosquito in 487. 103 operational trips with 14 trains destroyed" Anyone able to help?

If NS999 lasted as long as 103 ops, it is definitely possible that the code was changed from C to D at some point in a squadron reorganisation. That did happen occasionally where a code would change.
