Just tried to go to Gekko Graphics site and it seems to have disappeared. I haven't been there in awhile but don't tell me they've gone bust.
Anybody know anything?
Tim.

Hi Dave,
No unfortunately Flight Decs is an online Canadian decal specialist store.
The Gekko site was actually quite a goodie, had all their decal sets as well as upcoming stuff, and a very nice model section with tons of pics of builds which had used the Gekko Graphics decals. There were some very nice Kiwi A-4K builds on there.
I just hope they haven't gone down the gurgler as it'd be a real shame.

Uh-oh, that doesn't sound good.
I might try and send an email and see if I get a reply.

Re-Gekko graphics, I understand that Richard has been rather ill, and has had to take a break from his decal business. Hopefully he'll be able to get back to producing his choice decals soon.
Cheers, Pete M.

That's sad news Peter. I hope he recovers soon.
Is this an NZ company? I know I've heard/read about them but not used their decals.

Thanks for that Pete and sorry to hear it. I hope he's making a good recover and will be up and doing shortly.
Dave, Gekko are an Australian outfit and they do without a shadow of a doubt the best 1/48 RNZAF A-4K decals. There are currently 2 sheets available which cover our Sqawks from the time we received them right up to the final scheme with all the good bits in between. They even have the "squashed frog" 75 Squadron markings which some wag on 2 Sqn did, as part of the decals.
When I last emailed Richard last year, he told me he was working on decals for the 13th December 2001 disbandment displays so the set will include decals for every Squawk which participated with the pilot's names and nicknames which were painted under the left side of the canopy. He was also working on 1/72 sets of the two 1/48 A-4K sets.

I can admit that I was one of the wag's involved withthe squashed frog.
I helped Richard with those decals, he did a great job and I hope he's still around.

Hi Gents
I was corresponding with Richard a few months ago about a few things and he mentioned that they were gearing up to have another child shortly, I can vouch for how much time a newborn in the house takes up, then there a small matter of sleep!
But hope too everything is ok too.
Cheers
Anthony
