A fly-in was planned to celebrate this occasion on Saturday 26th at Ardmore. Unfortunately the weather did not co-operate, so only four local aircraft were able to participate. The four Chipmunks who did take part were: Vaughn Davis' recently made airworthy ZK-CHP/3 ex WZ865 ZK-RFS ex WB693 of Vintage Wings The LOM M332A powered ZK-LOM ex WB745 of D N Sinclair and ZK-SAX ex WK551 of the local Chipmunk Syndicate After a streamed take-off between the rain showers they headed off east to do a bit of formation work out over the Firth of Thames before arriving back overhead Ardmore for a formation 'break and land' onto grass runway 21 It then ended with a photogenic lineup outside the Warbirds clubrooms Pity about the weather.

Cool. Chippies are great aeroplanes. A real shame about the weather.
