VH-FAQ became ZK-MOT and us still active here,and VH-FZQ beacame ZK-MAE which is in these photos and still very active.Post up your photos I thought we needed an recent Air Tractor thread as they are the most numerous ag planes here now.

Air Tractors are very cool aeroplanes, as are Beavers and Cessna 180s. The Agricola does nothing for me, fugly old things.

I have an affinity with Agricola having, as a school lad, watched them being assembled on Rongotai and then Fred Myers top dressing from that airfield

The Vildebeest and Vincent are great old planes. Very charismatic even if they were slow, and pugnacious, and they did a hell of a lot for New Zealand. I guess the Agricola is thought of in the same way by those who love it, so I am happy to accept that. I used to think Vildes were ugly too till I learned about what they did and got to meet men who flew and maintained them. That changed my whole view. I have only ever seen one Agricola, on the ground at a Wings Over Wairarapa show once. |

I think the sole surviving Agricola is ZK-BXO in Hallett Griffins collection this aircraft is an amalgamation of several crashed aircraft

I think he means just more numerous in his home area, not necessarily the whole of NZ. Is that the case?
