Looks like John Lanham in the rear seat, at a wild guess maybe at Associated Aviation at PP in the 80’s?

Looks like NZPP with that background. NZ1033 came across several times to open days at Paraparaumu or just because they could on a fine day

I agree with the background but don't recognize the structures behind the tail
