Loved the images on the AFMoNZ site of the 18th TFW F-105s. I watched their perfomances, mouth open, as a star struck 13 year old at Air Force Day 64 at Ohakea. To complete the photo, I have aded their fates, thanks to Joe Baugher's site: WgG13959-64 Air Force Day open day at RNZAF Station Ohakea. Line up of F-105 Thunderchief aircraft from the 18th Tactical Fighter Wing USAF on the tarmac. L-R: 61-0212, 61-0171, 61-0215, 62-4263, 62-4224. They also have this image: PR5973-R2-21a-65 Exercise Pacific Concord in Australia. Public air show and display at RAAF Base Richmond. Static aircraft parked on the tarmac in front of the crowds. I was based at Ohakea then, as a 19 year old Airman. Huge nostalgia of those days, some of which I have written about elsewhere within this site.
