When were our Vampires camouflaged? I don't think I've ever seen any pictures of that scheme before this kit came out.

When the RNZAF purchased its batch of second hand FB5s to replace the FB52s, a number were received in camouflage. 75 Sqn operated them for a short period before they were repainted in standard silver (Note the 75sqn chequers) the beautifully restored FB5 at Ashburton is displayed in those colours: The 14 sqn deployment to Cyprus mainly used silver F.B.9s, likewise the Singapore deployment, although there may have been some camo examples (which would have still kept RAF serials, and had the extended intake lips of the FB9) Later they received Venoms which were most definitely camouflaged!
