Hi everyone,
It seems appropriate for me to say at this point where I just added the 10,000th post to this forum, how much I appreciated all the members here. And especially the regular posters who have all been instrumental in helping to create the informative, knowledgeable, sharing and best of all friendly atmosphere of the Wings Over New Zealand Forum.
It gives me a lot of pleasure to read and correspond with so many of you through the forum and I feel i have developed genuine friendships with a lot of you as a result. I hope you feel the same way.
So keep the posts coming, the information, questions, scoops, rumours, memories, photos, and yes, even a little of the outrageously biased political banter - and lets see how long it takes to get to 20,000. With the regular activity here now i think it'll be less than the 18 months that this milestone took.
Cheers everyone! Dave

Thanks Dave.
This is a great forum to read, share and view all sorts of info. I'm proud to be one of the founding members with you.
You've done well.
Cheers, TNz

Ditto on that (apart from the founding member bit). Never been big on forums until this one.

Yep, great to be a part of the whole thing: it's kept me entertained and sane during many a crappy day at work. May there be 100 000 000 posts more to come.

It has been cool watching the forum develop and take on life of its own - I dont think anyone was expecting it to take off the way it has - least of all Dave! looks like it'll be around for a while yet! - well done all participants.

Thanks Dave. For encouragement with kind comments on my photos and those of other members. A great site and much more sensible than other fora (ums). I appreciate the Trans Tasman banter and input.

Second all of the above. This is the only forum where I have really felt a part of a community rather than just a reader/contributor. I enjoy that banter here remains banter, and doesn't degenerate into the 'hamster wheel' nonsense that dominates other fora. As a non aviation professional it is gratifying to participate in a forum that doesn't relegate my presence to 'spotter' or 'wannabe'. I've learned a whole heap in my short time here, and hopefully shared a little knowledge as well.
Well done Dave and thanks. Here's to the next 10,000 and beyond ;D

I'm really pleased to read so many positive comments, and Sam I think you've really summed it up about this place being a genuine community where people feel welcome.
Congratulate yourselves for the forum, everyone brings something to the forum in their own way and makes it what it is. I just love the way we have top warbird pilots, RNZAF personnel past and present, historians, authors, modellers, enthusiasts, even a genuine wing-walker, all able to mix and interact and chat openly in a way we may never if we were all actually stood on the same aerodrome.
Spread the word around your friends, fellow pilots/modellers/enthusiasts or whichever circles you move in, and let people know about the forum. The more genuinely interested people here the richer the place will become, which has been proven in the past six months as we've grown and expanded in membership.

Just to add my two cents worth. It's been great to have a New Zealand specific aviation forum.
Well done Dave, long may it be in cyber space

Congrats Dave, well done.
I must say in the short time visiting the forum there is a wealth of information and it is an excellent resource for up and coming events locally.
