Do the aircraft from the Temora collection ever get displayed away from Temora? Do they visit other airshows around Australia?
I'm wondering, is there any possibility that something like the Canberra may ever be persuaded to cross the Tasman and do a NZ tour or something? Any thoughts?

They have been supportive of our air shows at Tyabb Dave. We have had a couple of A37's, O2, Spitfire and the Hudson participate...very generous. Probably helps that a few of our resident warbird operators have supported Temora displays. And happy Christmas to you and all on the forum from smokey Melbourne.

Dave, Temora does send their collection all over the countryside. Their Spitfire, Canberra, Meteor and Vampire were all attendees at the ADF Airshow at Richmond in October, and they appear at various events for the AWM several times a year too. I think this is part of the reason the RAAF are so supportive of Temora, and are so keen to send Hornets down there one or twice a year: I mean it must be a bit of a logistical nightmare to deploy 6 Hornets to a small country airfield for a weekend. As to the Canberra crossing the Tasman, I think it might be easier if you save your pennies and flit across here for a couple of weeks or so and pop into Temora for a flying weekend.

Thanks chaps.
I wasn't thinking of the Canberra for purely selfish reasons, :-), it's just next year's Canberra 50th anniversary Reunion would be a great opportunity for one to visit, wouldn't it. All those old aircrew members would no doubt be keen.
I was told the organiser was trying to get one of the PR.9's from the UK to visit, but Temora's is a lot closer.

Dave, If Temora knows about this Canberra 50th reunion then perhaps they will become interested? Have they been told? I guess there is an e-mail contact on their website. Just a thought. :-) Phil.

I'm not sure. The chap who told me, ex-Canberra crew who will attend the do, was not aware that one was flying in Australia till I told him. I sent him a link to the Temora site, so hopefully he will follow it up.
