Hang-glider pilot falls 1300m to his death January 05, 2007.
A MAN has fallen 1300m to his death in a hang-gliding accident in southwest New South Wales.
The 44-year-old was one of 80 hang-glider pilots participating in a competition yesterday near Forbes, police said today.
About 2.30pm (AEDT), another pilot saw the man detached from his glider and free falling.
His parachute failed to open and he fell 1300m to his death.
Police investigations are continuing.
