Did the RAAF ever mount an aerobatic display team with their Airtrainers, like the Red Checkers?

Dave, One of the last RAN fixed wing flying instructors (early 1980s) was the solo display pilot for the Air Trainer (replaced by an RAAF pilot as our fixed wing closed shop) but I don't believe there was ever a team of CT-4s but I could be wrong there. Phil.

Yep, I'm pretty sure there was never an RAAF Airtrainer aerobatic team.
I don't think they'd have had the crowd pulling appeal of the Roulettes and their Macchis! ;D

Thanks Craig.
Mind you, the Checkers still pulled the crowds when we had a Skyhawk team, which would eat the poxy Maachis.

I think the public related better to the Airtrainer teams than they did the jets, which were good for noise, terror, and speed value.
