I didn't see the 2003 display, so really looking forward to seeing it this time around! Hot-shot Hornet pilot returns Danny Lannen 05 Mar 07. CELEBRATED F/A-18F Super Hornet demonstration pilot Ricardo Traven will unleash a series of simulated combat manoeuvres during Avalon's Australian International Airshow. Traven will push the formidable warplane to its full capabilities in a roaring return after a one-show absence. Delighted organisers have ranked him among the airshow's star attractions. The former US Navy test pilot of the year is regarded among the world's elite performers at the controls of the plane and will spice his performance with loops and high-speed passes. Traven flew as a project pilot in NASA's F/A-18 Alpha research vehicle and played a pivotal role in development of the Super Hornet. He has logged more than 2600 hours flying all models of Hornets, including 600 hours in the Super Hornet. Traven was a military test and fighter pilot in the Canadian air force before instructing at the US Navy test pilot school. He joined Boeing in 1997 and is the aircraft giant's chief test pilot. Airshow media director Tom Bennett said Traven would perform on each of the show's three trade days and three public days. The airshow will lift off on March 20. Gates will open to the public at 2pm on March 23.

Neither did I.
Maybe they're trying to win over any opposition to make sure the ADF Super Hornet deal goes through? ;D

Just went on to their site to see what a/c were attending and yes the shornet will be there. Looks like everything they operate will be there except for the chinook. Also the seasprite is not listed, hehe Thought that maybe a 380 might have attended and also the NH-90
