TV3 News reported tonight that the Wellington rescue helicopter achieved a record flight time today from Kapiti coast to Wellington hospital. The trip up took 24 minutes, but the return trip with the huge tail wind caused by today's storm got them back down to Wellington in just 12 minutes. Not bad.
