It definitely has the remains of a Fieldair colour scheme, although I see that nowadays its a meat bomber.. One thing about skydive operators, they certainly arent afraid of unorthodox colour schemes! I remember when we painted the wingtips of parakais Cessna 206 ZK-RPG bright Cerese (is that what you call that vivid pink / purple colour?) when I was at Gulf Aeronautics, we got all sorts of critical comments, but the owners loved it (I liked it too) I think the Taupo based operation has some Crescos (or maybe "SkodaJets") painted bright Pink and Fluoro Green!

Love the colour scheme. Its actually deception. As the plane circles over the terrorist hostage sitation they are attracted look at the front of the aircraft while the men in black free fall out the back.

re Kiwi Work Horses
I was interested to peruse the site and read the posts - just last week I was in contact with Pacific Aerospace in Hamilton with a view to getting some info prior to working up a drawing for A FU-24. My Dad worked for DeHavillands at Rongatai during WWII and I have long wanted to Build a R/C scale Tiger Moth with markings depicted in some old photos I have of that time. Its probably 45 or more years since I flew R/C so I was looking for a trainer and came up with the idea of building a near scale model of the first FU 24 with the open cockpit.
Does anyone have the dimensions of the bulkhead behind the pilot?
Mike

Welcome Mike. There are drawings out there somewhere for FU-24 models. Perhaps you should email the NZMAA guys and girls, they may know someone who can help. My Dad'was going to build a large one and had the drawings but when he died someone else got them.

Mike Check your local RC club if there are older scratch builders there they may remember that there was a Kiwi guy putting out Fletcher plans for a large model about 8-10 years ago.He advertised in AIRBORNE I saw one fly and it was good.
Aha! bit of poking around on Gloogle...
There is a guy in New Zealand that has quite a collection of Ag-Aircraft plans, including the not often seen in North America Fletcher and Cresco. The gentleman's name is Warren Russell. Address is 34 Ward Parade, Stirling Point, Bluff, New Zealand. I don't have an e-mail address. $5.00US will get you a catalogue with heaps of aircraft in various scales.
