Well it's that time of year again, so I'd like to wish you all a very happy and safe Christmas and New Year season.
Does anyone have any interesting plans for the holiday season? Let's hope this rain clears up soon!

Had our family Christmas do's last weekend. Kids have opened their presents, run around the house and screamed. Finish work on Thursday. 8am Friday we fly out to Hong Kong (not much aviation orientation there - did you know that the Hong Kong Aero Club costs NZD5600 to join and NZD186.00 per month membership sub?) for five days, then on to Manila / Bohol /Cebu. Last time I was in HK at Christmas it was -1 degrees C. Get a good suntan back here guys.

Merry Christmas from OZ. Happy New Year, too.
Change of scene for me. My wife bought me a trip on the James Craig. We will sail up the harbour in a small fleet of tall ships ahead of the start of the Syd/Hob race. We will position out to sea hopefully near the last bouy. I hope to pull some close-ups of the competitors as they sceam by.

Best wishes to all the forumites, hope you all have a great festive season. I'm having a quiet break working on my aircraft - might even get some fabric on the fuselage if all goes well. If anyone is going to be passing through Cambridge and wants to catch up, drop me a line. May do some day trips here and there... saving cash for the trip to Ashburton in February for the SAA fly in. Sounds like a nice trip you got booked there Peter, keep an eye out for the kiwi boats - they'll be the ones at the front of the fleet!

I have relly's up bush, who are all CFA member's fighting the fire's too, they love the bush they live in, and will die trying to keep it! I have alway's felt these people are real heroe's, they don't get paid, the compo's not great if ya get killed or injured, and they just keep pluging away at it. Dave, I am try to get enough cash together for a Gooney bird dinner flight(DC-3), out of Essendon's drome, cost's about $220 Oz!
I watch and hear the old girl's fly over my flat all the time, Day and night, so that gunna be my big outing and pressy for myself!
Next year also I am still in hope, if well enough to Skydiver!!, hanging out real bad for that one!
Think it's gunna be a real hot summer over here in oz!
So with my M.S. I will be spending a lot of time inside, in front of the aircon!
Cheer's all, Tally Ho! Phil in oz!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all those here on WOC and to all visitors.
Taking a short break in the North for a few days laying on the beach and generally lazing about. I will take camera in case something flies past. ;D Catch up again in the new year and have a safe holiday.

In this case, Big, Silver and Fast - "Maximus" (a Kiwi 100ft Maxi) is tipped to do well in the conditions expected this year.

Merry Christmas everyone. Haven't been on here much lately, been soooo busy with work. Well, over the holiday break I'm going to have a good time getting to know my new Moto Guzzi motorcycle and hopefully go to the Wings Over Wairarapa airshow also. Cheers, Chris

I am going to take a short break away for New Year, probably a couple of nights away starting on the 30th and maybe come back on the 1st. I don't know where, but a couple of mates and I are just going to jump in the ute and take off to a secluded spot where we can chill out by a beach and have a few quiets. Hopefully it should be good.
