Probably. Last I heard he had problems with CAA about certifying ex-military gear for civilian commercial use. HBE and HBF seem to be still currently registered - Helilogging Ltd PO Box 64 STRATFORD 4700

Slightly off topic, but wasn't there a nasty heli-logging accident involving a Wessex some time ago in NZ?
I wonder if it was one from the 9 Wessex batch?

There was one here outside a liquour store but I think it has gone to ferrymead for restoration. When I was living in Blenheim, I often saw a Gazelle transit overhead. they were a sweet looking machine and pretty fast too.

That was ZK-HVK/2, a Wessex HC Mk.5C ex XS509 operated by Metro Air Ltd., Christchurch (the O'Malley chap, I think) crashed Little Pokorora Valley, near Motueka, 11Feb01 & DBF - a right nasty incident. The Imperial Discount Liquor store exhibit carried the fictitious registration ZK-IDL and was supposedly ex G-AZBY - anyone know the RAF/RN serial of this one?

ZK-IDL Westland Wessex Mk. 60 This Westland Wessex Mk. 60, (c/n: WA740), was first delivered to Bristow Helicopters in England as G-17-5, it later became G-AZBY and briefy 5N-ALR. It's career highlight came as a movie prop in Stanley Kubricks's 1987 Vietnam film "Full Metal Jacket" where it was painted as USMC s/n: EM-16. It's now privately owned in New Zealand where it adorns a local liquor store carpark as a promotional item. Christchurch, New Zealand, 2003.. bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/showflat.php?Number=538106
