Does anyone have anything on this event? Participants? Results?Apparently part of the Southland Centennial celebrations so I am assuming a civilian organisation. Anything at all would be welcome but I am really interested in any photos of the P-51 NZ2421 which apparently participated.

If she was stored at Woodbourne from 07 August 1955 and sold by GSB Tender Number 5926 to ANSA Co, Nelson for 70 pounds in May 1958 and scrapped - who was the owner/operater in 1956 during the air race? www.adf-serials.com/nz-serials/I guess the air race was organised by the Southland Aero Club.
