I'm not an expert on WWI biplanes, but I think this is a de Havilland DH5. Am I right?
Note the top wings are behind the bottom ones, as opposed to most biplanes having the top in front.

There's something awkward about it's appearance I reckon. Maybe it's the 'staggerwing" set up.
