Wow!! They're lovely. Was it getting near twighlight when they were taken?
Who pilot's Sir Tim's Spitfire these days, with him no longer flying and Tom Middleton sadly no longer with us?

Thanks. I forgot about John Lamont. Apart from him, are any other Kiwis rated to fly the Spitfire currently I wonder. Current Spitfire pilots must be pretty thin on the ground in this country.

It was flown by Lee Proudfoot and Nigel Lamb at the last WoW, nice bit of formation flying with the Camel (think it was Lee flying it then). Nigel was flying it during the Breitling display with Lee flying "Miss Torque" (which was the last time she displayed in NZ prior to heading overseas).

Yes I remember that. The Spit was at a high angle of attack and almost stalling flying with the Camel. Quite a feat I must say

Just in case you thought the Camel was fast, these were done from a cub and we had no trouble keeping up. What did surprise me was how loud the Camel was. Normally, you only get wind noise, but not this this time. My ears were ringing by the time we finished.

Beautiful shots! I thought for a second those last two shots was one, with two Camels! The landscape merges well.

You dont by any chance have any shots of the Dragonfly, Dominie and Fox Moth together from Classic Fighters 2005, or just the Dom and Dragonfly?
