Wow!
It's not just the aircraft that make your photos great, it's the timeless locations you choose too, which make them look like they're in an authentic period.

Totally awesome mate - will we see a calendar in the future? Really classy photos of really classy machines.

For someone who allegedly "can't run a business", you sure can take fantastic photographs, Alex.
I love that Devon photo, and if it was black and white you'd almost swear it was taken in the 1950's.

As for a calendar, there's not much demand here to warrent the expense of making one. For a run of 1000 it's about $10 each. For 500 around $15 each. Lots of upfront cost and lots of risk. I do sell images overseas for use in calendars and they are sold here, but in limited numbers. If on the other hand people want some images for use as a screen saver on cd at their screen res, I sure it can be arranged.

C'mon Alex, John King has been making and selling calendars in NZ for years and most of his subjects are boring like Cessnas. I'm sure you'd sell loads with adverts in Wings and Classic Wings mate. I'd buy one for sure.

I'd buy one for sure. Thats true but he has a publisher and the CAA use them, thus a secure market before printing. I looked into this a while back and it not worth the expense. When you can buy good quality calendars (birds flowers etc) for $10, theres no market for specialist stuff. A pity but thats reality. It may be better to produce a CD of high res Images that you can print out for your self as posters etc.

I like the Hornet Moth too. Where's that from? And the black Tiger is gorgeous.
Woderful shots as ever, thanks Alex.

Thanks for the DH stuff Alex, brilliant. I was flying the Dom during those shots, I was hoping someone managed to get some good ones. Might have a couple more new machines for you to photograph coming up this year, should be ready for Wanaka.
