This link, pointed out by Blue Max on the FlyPast forum, says Peter Jackson's Sopwith Camel came to grief in the wind at Masterton times-age.co.nz/storyprint.cfm?storyID=3669773The article implies this is a genuine priceless Camel. I thought it was a replica. Which is it? I hope t's back in the air soon.

Turbo and Alex weren't joking when they said it was windy at Hood. That is very unfortunate indeed, but a least the pilot is okay. I too hope the Camel is up and about again sometime soon. I thought this Camel was a replica, but with an original rotary engine? How is some people's form: the two women allegedly fighting over who was assisting the pilot? Gene really must have that special something if the chicks are fighting over him! ;D
