1st and 2nd of April. Not sure which day but there will be displays. The AGC is located in Drury.

2nd April Sunday is the display day. Sounds like a great event to attend.

At the Auckland Gliding club on Appleby Road
On the 2nd April 2006 starting at 11am
There will be;
Static displays - Parachute displays - Hang gliding displays - Flying displays and much more then at the end of the day there will be a BBQ and drinks.
We will be visited by some of the original aircraft from the Auckland gliding club including the original tow plane “Tiger Moth” and some of the original gliders including the Eon Baby and the Blanik.
• An aerobatic display will be performed by Ben Flewett the Grand Prix gliding champion.
• A triple tow display by some of our club pilots.
• The hang gliding club will demonstrate auto towing and precision landings.
• The Local Mercer Skydiving club will do a parachute display above our field and land.
• There will be fly-bys from some of NZ Warbird planes.
• And finally there will be rides available in the Domini passenger plane.

0900 – 1100 Past members flying
1000 – 1030 Briefing with display pilots
1130 – 1200 Display tiger moths with Eon Baby
1200 – 1230 Hang glider displays
1230 – 1300 Ben Flewett to do display
1300 – 1330 LUNCH
1330 – 1400 Triple tow display (Maurice, Nigel & Murray W)
1400 – 1430 Pitts Special
1430 – 1500 Tiger Moth Aerobatics (Dave Philips)
1500 – 1600 War birds – Harvard’s, ME108, Thunder Mustang, Chipmunk, Birddog and Edge (Yaks?)
1600 – 1615 Parachute display
1615 – 1630 Display tiger moths with Eon Baby
1630 Ben Flewett final display
Note: the Dominie will be taking passenger flights throughout the day.
Low level pass by the Catalina (time to be confirmed).
All times are approximate and can be changed as required.
Note this is not set in stone and may be subject to small changes, but is a fairly good indication of what is planned to happen during the day. Also note that a lot of these aircraft will be landing at Drury before their displays, so there will be a fair bit of action on the field. Apart from the flying we will have a Jazz band playing on the deck throughout the day so bring a blanket and a picnic lunch and enjoy the day.

That sounds like it'll be a smashing day's entertainment. I only wish I could get up there, but sadly I won't make it. I hope you guys get good weather for the event.
