Wow, what awesome photos Alex.
Just stunning.
Is that PO-2 a WWI Russian aircraft? or between the wars? Who owned that when it was in NZ?

I am in awe of those photos!
The Po-2 was ex (Yugoslavia?) YU-CLJ and went to UK for restoration as G-BSSY but did not fly, sold to Pat Donovan as N588NB and he bought it to NZ together with his Lockheed twin. At the OFC display it taxiied but did not fly; eventually did a test-flight at Omaka 15May03 with the registration ZK-POZ reserved. By then Pat had received an 'offer he could not refuse' for it from the UK so it was sent back there soon after this flight. A bit sad really that we did not see more of it.
